Tulsa vs BYU and Rutgers vs Iowa St

Tulsa vs BYU

One of my favorite bowl games of the year. There is an angel that over time has proved to be a good one. Teams having just played or going to play at Hawaii usually face a major motivational hangover. BYU faces probably the toughest test having finished the season in Hawaii then having to crank it up against a very good Tulsa team. GJ Kinnie has had a great career and expect a strong finish. Tulsa has flew under the radar all season having lost to only the top programs. The defense is very much improved, I favor the under in this one and really like Tulsa here.

Rutgers vs Iowa St

Rutgers has underachieved this season and Iowa St has in my opinion over achieved. Identifiny these types of situations is key during bowl season. Even though at first glance Rutgers is playing in NY a virtual home game, I am siding with the Cyclones. Paul Rhodes is a great young coach you know nothing about. Expect a big effort here from the Cyclones in a mini upset.

Other plays on this day…Oklahoma and Mississippi to roll.

LITTLE CAESARS BOWL and the BELK BOWL

Lets first start with the Little Caesars bowl, personally not one of my favorite pizzas but that is besides the point. The game will be played in the friendly confines of Ford Field, in fabulous Detroit Michigan. Expect plenty of point with QB Alex Carder throwing to the leading WR in the nation, Jordan White of the Broncos. I want to like this Broncos team but anytime they have played a “good” team they have lost. Losses include Michigan, Illinois, N.Illinois and Toledo. Their best win is against a bad UConn team. Purdue will have to be the play, but not a strong one. Purdue has won 2 of its last 3 including a win vs Ohio St. Purdue should score a minimum of 30 in this one and can also give up their share. Lets make a play on Purdue and a little on the over.

Lets make a play on the Cardinal

Next is the Belk Bowl. Louisville is only choice in this one. The Ville has won 5 of its last 6 including a win versus bowl teams Rutgers and West Virginia. Freshman Teddy Bridgewater is fun to watch and one of the best freshman qbs in the country. The defense is solid and ranked 14th in the nation, a nice combination of offense and defense and motivation for the Cardinal. There is not much to say about NCState other than they have been up and down all season long. They did win 3 of thier last 4 including a win vs Clemson at just the right time. They have faced three really good defense and have gotten blown out in each game. Cincinnati 44-14 loss, Florida State 34-0 loss and Boston College 14-10 loss.

Las Vegas Bowl

Boise St vs Arizona State

Class and motivation are the keys in tonight’s game. Boise is by and far the better team from top to bottom. Dont let the league confuse you the Pac 10 as  a whole was down and ASU was bad. Boise lost a tight game to TCU on a kick and probably are not totally motivated here but….this is Kellen Moore’s final game and the Seniors led by Billy Winn on the DL will want to make a statement heading into the draft. I see a total mismatch. Love Boise to crush and give me a little on the under. Boise in control from start to finish.

Beef O Bradys Bowl

The is a bowl game tonight and we should make a play on it. Not much else going on TV tonight. I have gone back and forth on the side. Marshall has been a nice story and are a live dog. On the other hand the most explosive player on the field will be TY Hilton the speedy wide receiver for Florida International. I am not a fan of laying points here and expect a close game so……let make a play on the over. All three games that have been played inside on the turf where the Tampa Bay rays play have led to 3 overs in the past 3 games. All three games have scored a min of 55 points, tonight’s o/u is 48.5

San Francisco 49ers VS Arizona Cardinals

The trap is set. The 49ers have been great all season. Arizona has been unstable but have won 3 games with John Skelton

Lets take the Cards and the points.

running the show. Kevin Kolb is back and he somehow he found a way to beat the Cowboys last week. SF has bigger things on their mind than the Cardinals. The 49ers will be watching the Steelers on Thursday night football and looking ahead to that huge matchup next week. A soft spot for sure for a Niners team that is due for a bad week. Lets make a play on the Cardinals in this one + 4.

ARMY v NAVY

Army vs Navy is always a great game. This season, not so much. Navy (4-7) has struggled this season having lost 6 games in

a row in the middle of the season but recenlty have won 2 of their last 3 games. The Black Knights also have struggled (3-8) this season losing 6 out of 7 with a win vs Fordham mixed it. Navy has dominated this series recently and i dont expect that to change. Navy got their starting QB and FB back three weeks ago and have shown signs of life. A nice win at SMU and losses to 5 bowl teams shows a decent resume. Lets lay the -7 on the only college game on Saturday.
