I am not sure how many of you are paying attention but you should start before it is too late!  Our resident almost celebrity handicapper DannyZ had ANOTHER tear through the NFL last week.  We all know that handicapping goes hot and cold and when it is hot you have to cash in and DannyZ has been smokin’ HOT.

This weeks prize was awarded to Boston Rob.  Congrats and enjoy!  The other handicappers who are also tops on the list are in one way or another affiliated with the site and not eligible to receive prizes.  We would cut them out all together but there are certain bragging rights to being on top which is always worth more than a few bucks.  If you do not like it, the solution is simple, just beat them and knock them off the list, I am sick of seeing those guys there.

For those of you who do not know, a few years back DannyZ was the winner of the Las Vegas Stratosphere football contest.  This contest was a high buy in of thousands and featured all of the big shot handicappers who reside locally in Las Vegas.  DannyZ walked away the big winner hauling in six figures and bragging rights.  Not bad for a football enthusiast just like most of us here beating all of the big dogs.

Come one, come all!  This is week 1 for our weekly football contest.  There is NO ENTRY FEE, it is FREE to participate.

All you have to do to qualify is to pick at least 8 NFL picks.  These picks can be sides or totals, so you have up to about 30 or so choices to pick from.  Whoever has the best winning percentage each week is the winner.  If there is a tie, then whoever has more winning picks is the winner.  If there is STILL a tie,we will have a Monday Night Football tiebreaker.  Fun stuff!

The prizes, rules and availability are ALL subject to change.  Prizes are depending on our sponsors and may increase as contest participation increases.  So tell your friends to get in on the action!  Just send them to our web site and let them challenge you.  The more participation we have the better the prizes will become.

As we are approaching the fall and the sports activity heats up from the doldrums of Summer, the minimum games required to qualify for the 30 day award will be increased from 10 to a minimum of 15 wins.  This will also be increased on September 14th to a minimum of 20 wins.

The individual sports awards remain unchanged except for the NFL.  For the 30 day awards for the NFL, the minimum wins to qualify has been increased to 8.  On September 14th, the minimum will increase to 10 wins and increase to 5 awards.  The NCAA will increase to 12 win minimum as of  Oct. 3rd and also increase to 5 awards.

For anyone who might be affected by this change and we sincerely apologize.  Keep the good stuff going, we are just getting this season started!

No other individual sports qualifications will change and awards will still be intact until September 15th.

Due to the fall sports season coming upon us we are also adding a new set of weekly awards.  The battle will start every Tuesday and conclude with all Monday nights activity.  These awards will include ALL sports for each week starting on Tuesday and all sports starting on following Monday, not just football.
